UFJC Title Successfully Defended

Sanfrecce Hiroshima defeated Tokyo Verdy by a score of 1-0 to retain the UFJC title at home on Saturday, October 25. This was an Emperor's Cup match.


The current Unofficial Football Japanese Championship holders are Sanfrecce Hiroshima, winning the title from Shonan Bellmare on October 4 by a score of 2-0.

Since that match, Sanfrecce Hiroshima has successfully defended the title against:

-Osaka Sports University on October 12 with a 6-0 win
-Sagan Tosu on October 25 with a 5-1 win
-Tokyo Verdy on October 2 with a 1-0 win

This is Hiroshima's 15th reign as UFJC title holder.

Hiroshima's next defense will take place on November 9 with a league match away against Vegalta Sendai.
