UFJC Title Successfully Defended

Sanfrecce Hiroshima defeated Sagan Tosu by a score of 5-1 to retain the UFJC title at home on Saturday, October 25. This was a league match.


The current Unofficial Football Japanese Championship holders are Sanfrecce Hiroshima, winning the title from Shonan Bellmare on October 4 by a score of 2-0.

Since that match, Sanfrecce Hiroshima has successfully defended the title against:

-Osaka Sports University on October 12 with a 6-0 win
-Sagan Tosu on October 25 with a 5-1 win

This is Hiroshima's 15th reign as UFJC title holder.

Hiroshima's next defense will take place on November 2 with an Emperor's Cup match away against Tokyo Verdy. If Hiroshima loses the UFJC title will return to J1 for the first time since February.
