New UFJC Champions Crowned

Kashiwa Reysol defeated Sanfrecce Hiroshima for the UFJC title in Okayama on Saturday, December 20.


The current Unofficial Football Japanese Championship holders are Kashiwa Reysol, winning the title from Sanfrecce Hiroshima on December 20 by a score of 3-2.

This is Kashiwa's 13th reign as UFJC title holder.

With this win, only J1 teams will be able to hold the UFJC title until 2009's Emperor's Cup.

Kashiwa's next defense will take place on December 29 with an Emperor's Cup match in Shzuoka prefecture against FC Tokyo.
